4. Comments

When you leave a comment on our site, we collect:

  • The data entered in the comment form;
  • Your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam comments;
    An anonymized string (a “hash”) created from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
    After your comment is approved, your profile picture (if available) will be publicly visible next to your comment.

5. Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images that contain EXIF data with GPS coordinates. Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from your images.

6. Cookies

  • When you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again. These cookies will last for one year.
  • On the login page, a temporary cookie is created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
  • When you log in, several cookies are set to save your login information and display preferences: login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for one year. If you select “Remember me,” your login will persist for two weeks. Logging out will remove the login cookies.

You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings.

7. Embedded content from other websites

  • Comments and their metadata: stored indefinitely to help recognize and automatically approve future comments.
  • User profiles: for registered accounts, profile data is retained as long as the account exists. You can view, modify, or delete your data (except your username). Site administrators can also edit this information.
  • Browsing data: stored for a maximum of 13 months for statistical analysis, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Consents (e.g., newsletter, cookies): retained until revoked, then stored for 1 year to ensure traceability.

10. Your rights

In accordance with applicable laws, you may:

  • Request access to your personal data;
  • Request correction or deletion of your data;
  • Object to or request restriction of processing;
  • Request the portability of your data.

If you have an account or have left comments, you may request a file containing all your personal data, as well as the deletion of that data—except for information retained to comply with legal or security obligations.
